At present as a visitor to the website you either already know of our product or you have found our product because you are looking for a solution to the waste that you are generating.
We would like to explain a little more and as straightforwardly as we can.
At present we imagine that you have a food or green waste issue and would like to find an alternative method of disposal. Either because you want to save money on disposal costs, or simply because you are aware that continuing to send waste to landfill is damaging our environment. Our product could well be the answer you need.
Composting has been around for ever , but composting in this form has not. A new type of machine that harnesses and speeds up natures own process. This is a mechanical system which works with a biological process inside. It is automated, but it does require a little care - this however, is not to be mistaken for labour intensive effort though, as this is not the case.
The in vessel composter is an almost silent system that runs twenty for hours a day, the biological process is also constant. This biological process needs food and feeding, a bit like us, on a regular basis, this is where your food or green waste that you generate comes in.
These wastes are added to the machine as frequently as possible, daily, twice daily or more - as your waste stream and working practices best suit. The material stays inside the machine for 14 days, but again this is a continuous process, waste added every day, with composted material exiting the machines every day. You do not have to fill the machine and wait 14 days, the process works constantly.
We have kept to simple operating procedures that are easily learnt and taught, we have kept to simple procedures that require minimal operator interaction, we have kept the system as close to the "traditional" waste disposal methods as possible.
We have also kept the operation and working with the machinery as neat and as clean and tidy as possible. We hope when you see them it will dispel any thoughts that composting is still a backbreaking and dirty task !
There may be some misinformation in what people may have told you about the possibility of you composting your waste on site, but if you would like to take the opportunity of calling one of our staff, we will clarify the possibility and the practicality of your situation, whatever your role, whatever the profession and whatever the waste.

A question we get asked frequently, the answer is simply all of it- except high volumes of liquids such as sauces, gravies, custards or fruit juices.
The machines can compost all items from the start of the kitchen or catering process, from off cuts of broccoli and carrots, cabbage and potatoes, raw meats, fish and other such ingredients. Following the process in the catering areas through, this can then lead to overcooked items, unwanted food, spoilt food and plate scrapings. Cooked meats, fish, pasta, rice, vegetables even cakes and breads. The machines do like a varied and mixed diet, not too much of just one item, however if this is your primary waste stream and it happens to be one particular type of item we do have a novel solution. In all cases please do contact Accelerated Compost Ltd as certain legislation may need noting.

Food waste on its own will not make compost. In home composting you are instructed to mix your "greens and your browns" these as we know are green wastes (grass and garden waste and some food wastes) with the browns, cardboards, paper and woody garden materials.
Similarly in our system we will ask you to mix greens and browns - food waste and wood waste in equal volumes. The wood waste is woodchip - but wait before dismissing the system or application. Woodchip is very easily sourced, it is someone else's businesses by-product, they too are having problems of disposing of their by product, tree surgeons, arboricultural practices, councils, highways agencies etc. Several quickly placed telephone calls to people in your area often finds a regular supply of woodchip being delivered with little or no charge at all. This woodchip needs be of no particular type of tree or age, but needs to be a particular size though. This needs to be less than 40mm - see picture as a guide.
